Learn that learning doesn't have to be teaching and studying only. English JaLA School has had great success in providing English to non-speakers since our inception. We provide, not only conversation, but reading, writing and listening programmes that are geared to develope the students ability to use all the functions of the English Language. Jamaica, formerly governed by England, has one of the best education system in the world and with this benifit, we are able to provide all students (kids to business) with the necessary tools to improve their English ability. Unlike other schools, JaLA takes pride in creating special curriculums for each student and provide the greatest opportunities for the development of learning English in a non-English speaking environment. We provide in the following classes; Conversation - This class is geared at maximize the student's ability to have a conversation in various situations. It is based on role-plays from real life experiences, debates on current topics and the opportunity to give all students as much speaking time as possible. Travel English - Will take you through airports, hotels, shopping, making friends and tips on making use of even limited English in most countries of the world. Specialised English - This type focuses on technical (Electronics, Electrical and Medical) English which is used on the job. Most of our teachers have graduated in one of these degrees and is also actively involved in translation. Business English - It is known that we do no use bar talk in the conference room or for presentations. JaLA's Business English will prepare you for moving to your company's overseas department, transfer abroad, presentations or just for a short business trip to a foreign country. Poetry and Songwriting - With more than 20 years in the music business as a songwriter, musician and event producer, this class is conducted by our founder (F. A. Senior Jr.) only. Poetry and songwriting are natural gifts we all have but sometimes we need a nudge in the right direction to discover it. You can choose your teacher, your textbook and even the environment in which you want to study (Classroom, cafe, outdoor, smoking, non-smoking, clubs, etc.) and JaLA will provide it for you.
